Chrysanne Stathacos

Were You There?

Chrysanne Stathacos is a multi-media artist who lives in Toronto, New York and Athens. Her multi-media art practice explores the connections between ritual actions, technology, feminism and environmental issues through investigations of  the enduring human processes of change, hope, and healing.  At the heart of her work is a deep commitment to social art practice and the intention to examine and bring to light the interconnections that all human beings share.

Stathacos’s recent projects include ‘True Patriot Love’ (Nuit Blanche, Toronto), and ‘Three Wishing Trees’ (Bundesgartenschau in Koblenz, Germany). Her installation, ‘The Rose Mirror Mandala’ was included in ‘The Temptation of AA Bronson‘ exhibition at the Witte de With Museum, Rotterdam, Netherlands, and travelled to Salzburger Kunstverein and Grazer Kunstverein, Austria.         (
